Sonamarg, (DD)In a heartening display of global spiritual unity, nine young foreign devotees from six different countries — including the United States and Germany — undertook the revered Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra this week via the challenging Baltal route in Kashmir.
The pilgrims, hailing from diverse backgrounds and faiths, embarked on the high-altitude trek to the holy cave shrine nestled in the Himalayas, echoing the Yatra’s timeless appeal that transcends national borders.
Officials from the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board confirmed the participation of the group, adding that their journey symbolizes “a beautiful blend of international faith, devotion, and the spiritual magnetism of the Himalayas.”
“Walking alongside Indian devotees, these pilgrims expressed deep reverence and awe for the natural beauty and sacred energy of the region,” said an official at the Baltal base camp.
One of the pilgrims from Germany described the experience as “life-changing,” stating that the hospitality and spiritual atmosphere made them feel “at home despite being miles away.”
The group was closely monitored and supported by the Yatra administration and security forces throughout their journey to ensure safety and comfort amid the challenging terrain.
