Kathua,DD, A school bus (registration number JK08C 0506) carrying children met with an accident in the hilly region of Kathua district. The bus skidded off the road and overturned, resulting in injuries to seven children onboard.
Local residents quickly sprang into action, launching a rescue and relief operation. They pulled the injured children out of the bus and rushed them to GMC Kathua hospital, where treatment is currently underway.
Providing details of the incident, former village Sarpanch Prithvipal Singh said that the bus got stuck in a tree after falling into a gorge, preventing a potentially more tragic outcome. “Had the bus fallen further, the situation could have been far worse,” he added.
Thanks to the prompt and courageous efforts of the locals, the children were rescued in time. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.DD
