Leh: DD, The Directorate of Ayush. through National Ayush Mission, UT Ladakh, successfully organized a Free Geriatric Health Camp at Community Hall, Housing Colony, Leh on 24th and 25th July 2025.
The two-day camp aimed at promoting holistic health and well-being among the elderly population by providing accessible and free Homoeopathic medical consultations and medicines.
The camp witnessed active participation from local community with around 80 elderly patients benefitting from the initiative over the two days.
Two Homoeopathy doctors from SNM Hospital, Leh — Dr. Rubina Jabin and Dr. Stanzin Noryang, were on duty during the camp.
Both doctors attended to the patients with utmost dedication and enthusiasm, providing thorough consultations and personalized treatment plans.
On 24th July, approximately 50 patients visited the camp.
The common ailments reported included joint pain, migraine, indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and vertigo.
Free Homoeopathic medicines were distributed based on the patients’ diagnoses and needs.
On 25th July, around 30 patients attended the camp, seeking help for various health concerns such as headache, muscle pain, high blood pressure, and leg swelling. Once again, medicines were distributed free of cost.
The camp not only addressed the immediate health issues of the elderly but also raised awareness about the benefits of Ayush systems, especially Homoeopathy, in managing chronic and age-related ailments.
The event was well-received by the local residents and appreciated for its focus on elderly care and wellness.
The Directorate of Ayush, UT Ladakh, continues to strive towards accessible and preventive healthcare for all through such community outreach programs.DD
