GURJAR DESH CHARITABLE TRUST STRONGLY CONDEMNS BRUTAL KILLING OF GUJJAR YOUTH AT PHALLIAN MANDAL

Jammu:DD, In a show of solidarity with the family of Shaheed Pervez Ahmed who was shot dead in a fake police encounter, members of Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust have expressed their deep shock and concern over this unfortunate incident.
In this incident, the innocent Gujjar youth namely Parvez Ahmed had been murdered in a fake police encounter at Phallian Mandal (Satwari) Jammu.
They expressed their heartfelt condolences with the grieved family, offered dua-e-maghfirah for the deceased and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed noble soul of Shaheed Pervez Ahmed.
They prayed to the Almighty to give enough strength and patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. They also ensured steadfast support from Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu to the affected family in this hour of need.


The members of the Trust strongly denounced the unlawful action by J&K Police in what appears to be a fabricated case, terming it a blatant violation of human rights and justice.
The Trust firmly stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and the Gujjar community, who have been left devastated by this tragic loss. All the Trustees demanded for an immediate, impartial and time-bound extra-judicial inquiry to ensure that the truth prevails and justice is served to the affected family.
They stressed that such violence undermines the social fabric and trust within the community towards the police and government authorities.
They further emphasized that the family of the deceased must be provided with adequate financial compensation as a small measure of support in this time of immense grief and also impressed upon the authorities that in light of the family’s suffering, the government must provide suitable employment to a member of Pervez Ahmed’s family to help them rebuild their lives and ensure that the rights of marginalized communities are protected.
The members called upon civil society, human rights organizations, and the general public to support their cause and stand against police brutality and injustice.
It was also expressed in the gathering that the Trust calls upon the authorities to implement concrete measures to safeguard the rights, dignity, and security of the Gujjar community & to take decisive action.
The members were led by Chairman of the trust Arshad Ali Choudhary, General Secretary Er. M. Sadiq Azad, Financial Advisor Choudhary Bashir Ahmed Noon, Sr. Trustees Ch. Shouket Javed, Advocate Aslam Khan, Ch. Mohammad Rafiq Kohli, Ch. Mohammad Aslam Gheghi and Adv. Zeeshan Ahmed Rana.DD
