Udhampur,TDD,The auspicious festival of Navratri, dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga, commenced today with great zeal and devotion across the nation. Thousands of devotees thronged to various temples to seek blessings from the Divine Mother.

In Udhampur, the ancient Kali Mata Temple at T Morh witnessed a massive influx of devotees. People from all walks of life offered prayers and paid obeisance to the Goddess, seeking her blessings for peace, harmony, and prosperity. The temple’s atmosphere was charged with spiritual energy as devotees chanted hymns and offered flowers and sweets to the deity. Many believe that seeking blessings during Navratri brings good fortune and protection.

As the nine-day festival unfolds, temples across India will continue to witness a surge in devotees. The celebration will culminate on the tenth day, known as Vijayadashami, marking the victory of good over evil.

Shardiya Navratri, which commenced today on October 3, 2024, will conclude with the celebration of Dussehra on October 12, 2024. This period is marked by spiritual reflection, fasting, and prayer. Many Hindus believe that during these nine nights, the divine energy of Goddess Durga reaches its peak. Devotees seek her blessings for prosperity, happiness, and protection from negativity.

Each of the nine nights of Navratri is dedicated to a different form of Goddess Durga, representing various aspects of her divine power. The festival offers a unique opportunity for spiritual growth and connection with the divine.TDD
