Handwara, DD, As part of its ongoing public outreach programme, Handwara Police organised Thana Diwas across various police establishments in Police District Handwara today.
The meetings were chaired by the respective jurisdictional police officers and witnessed active participation from community representatives, civil society members, trade associations, and other respected citizens of the concerned areas.
During the interactions, participants raised various issues of public importance. The police officers assured that all genuine grievances related to policing will be addressed on priority, while matters concerning the civil administration will be promptly taken up with the relevant departments for early redressal.
Thana Diwas is an initiative of the J&K Police, aimed at bridging the gap between the police and the public, strengthening community relations, and providing a platform for citizens to voice their concerns and seek redressal in a transparent and accountable manner.
Handwara Police reaffirmed its commitment to people-friendly policing, and pledged to continue such initiatives that promote mutual trust, cooperation, and responsive governance.DD
