FIR Registered Over Mischief Incident in Ichgam

Budgam, (DD) Budgam Police have registered an FIR after miscreants were involved in a mischief incident in Ichgam, with efforts underway to identify those responsible.
In a statement, police said they have taken cognisance of the matter and booked the culprits under relevant sections of law. “Those involved are being identified, and legal action is in progress,” the statement read.
Police confirmed that a team was present at the scene, collecting and analysing all available evidence, which will be incorporated into a fair and impartial investigation.
The statement further warned that certain elements are attempting to create sectarian tensions and spread misinformation and fake news on social media, adding that such acts will be dealt with strictly under the law.
Budgam Police have appealed to the public to remain calm and cooperate in maintaining peace and order in the area(DD)
