30 reportedly killed, 150 injured & 200 untraceable in devastating cloud burst in Chishoti, Kishtwar

85 referred to DH Kishtwar, rescue operation continues

KISHTWAR: DD, Atleast 30 people have reportedly lost their lives, whereas more than 150 have sustained multiple injuries, and nearly 200 have gone missing in a devastating cloud burst that hit the remote village Chishoti in Kishtwar of Jammu and Kashmir.
The reports emerging from the ground claim that around 30 people reportedly lost their lives in the cloud burst, and 150 others have sustained injuries.
The injured have been evacuated by the rescue teams in a major rescue operation in Padder. Of these 150 injured, the reports said that more than 85 injured have been shifted to the District Hospital, Kishtwar.


The operation is in progress. However, the unconfirmed report claims that around 200 people are still untraceable from the village Chishoti.
“The rescue teams have been working to trace the missing persons,” the reports claim further. There are also reports of loss to the property.
Any official confirmation about the death toll will be reported as further details are awaited.DD
