JAMMU:TDD, In a breakthrough, Jammu Police today claimed to have solved a chilling murder mystery following a missing person report filed at Police Post Chowk Chabutra, Jammu.
As per the police, they received a report that Sandeep Singh, son of Sukhdev Singh, residing in Gali Khilona, Pacca Danga, Jammu, has gone missing. He was last seen on September 29, 2024.
Following the missing report, the police started an intense investigation and during investigation, it was found that Sandeep Singh had been kidnapped and allegedly murdered by Pardeep Singh, son of Sher Singh, from Prem Nagar, Jammu, according to the police.
The police investigation revealed that the accused lured Sandeep to Reasi on the pretense of repaying ₹1,30,000, which he had taken from the victim and lost while gambling in the Aviator game.
“Tragically, on 27th September, Pardeep pushed Sandeep into the Chenab River at Talwara, Reasi, resulting in his death,” the police stated, quoting the investigation.
Police, acting on Pardeep’s confession, recovered Sandeep’s body from the river.
Further investigation revealed a conspiracy involving Rajinder Singh, another conspirator who owed ₹ 25,000 to the victim.
Both Pardeep Singh and Rajinder Singh have been arrested, and a case under FIR Number 117 of 2024 under section 140, 49, and 103 BNS has been registered at the concerned police station.
Jammu Police continue their investigation, working to uncover further details surrounding the crime.TDD
