Arab Mawlid Troupe Performance to be the Main Highlight

Calicut: DD, The International Milad Conference, organized under the auspices of Markazu Saquafathi Sunniyya, will be held tomorrow, Saturday, September 13, at the Calicut Trade Centre, with the theme “Thiruvasantham 1500”.
The conference aims to deepen the understanding of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)and provide a unique platform to experience the diverse traditions of prophetic praise (Mawlid) from across the globe. The event will witness the participation of social and cultural leaders, diplomatic representatives, and Samastha Kerala Jam’iyyathul Ulama leaders.
The highlight of the evening will be a special Mawlid session by the renowned Arab group ‘Al Hubb Troupe’ and the annual Mad’hur Rasool lecture by the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad. The conference seeks to spread the teachings and vision of the Prophet ﷺ to a wider audience, especially in today’s context, where his message of peace and guidance holds even greater significance.
The day’s events will begin with a Mega Duff Rally at 3:00 PM, featuring over 100 duff teams parading through the city. The rally will be led by leaders of the Kerala Muslim Jamaath (KMJ), SYS, SSF, SJM, and SMA Kozhikode District, along with religious scholars and Jamia Markaz professors.
The public session will commence at 4:30 PM with a Burda recitation. Samastha Vice President Sayyid K.S. Attakkoya Thangal will lead the prayer, and Samastha Kerala Jam’iyyathul Ulama President E. Sulaiman Musliyar will preside over the session. The much-awaited performance by the Al Hubb International Mawlid Troupe is scheduled for 7:40 PM, followed by the Grand Mufti’s annual lecture.
Prominent leaders addressing the conference include Samastha Vice President Sayyid Ali Bafaqi Thangal, Secretary Ponmala Abdul Khader Musliyar, Markaz Director General C. Muhammed Faizi, SYS State Secretary Dr. Muhammed Abdul Hakkim Azhari, Perod Abdurahman Saquafi, Kerala State Haj Committee Chairman Dr. Hussain Saqafi Chullikkod, Majeed Kakkad, and C.P. Ubaidullah Saqafi.
Other dignitaries expected to attend include Sayyid Abdul Fattah Ahdal Awelam, Abu Hanifal Faizi Thennala, Abdurahman Faizi Marayamangalam, V.P.M. Faizi Villyappalli, K.K. Ahmed Kutty Musliyar Kattippara, Rahmathulla Saqafi Elamaram, Sayyid Muhammad Thurab Saqafi, Sayyid Sharafuddin Jamalullaili, A.P. Abdul Kareem Haji Chaliam, Abdurahman Haji Kuttur, Sayyid Muneerul Ahdal, Usman Saqafi Thiruvatra, Vandoor Abdurahman Faizi, N. Ali Abdullah, Prof. A.K. Abdul Hameed, Saifudheen Haji, and Haji Ihsan Gadawala.
