Brig PS Cheema Inspires NCC Cadets at Combined Annual Training Camp

Nagrota,TDD,Brig PS Cheema, SM, VSM, Group Commander of Jammu Group NCC, visited and inspired NCC cadets during the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) organised by 5 J&K NCC Battalion. The camp is being held for 500 cadets from 04 to 13 October 2024 at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota.

Brig Cheema was honoured with an impressive Guard of Honour upon his arrival, reflecting the high regard in which he is held by both cadets and staff. His engagement began with interactions with the Training Staff and Associate NCC Officers, where he emphasised their crucial role in mentoring future leaders.
During his visit, Brig Cheema addressed the participants of the Permanent Instructor Orientation Cadre, who have recently joined the NCC. He inspired them to embrace their responsibilities and uphold the values of the NCC as they prepare to guide cadets.

Brig Cheema also took time to interact with cadets from various battalions, motivating them as they prepare to compete in prestigious events such as the Best Cadet competition and the Youth Exchange Programme with friendly foreign countries. He underscored the importance of dedication and teamwork. He also reviewed the shooting practice of cadets who will soon compete at the national level in the GV Mavlankar Shooting Competition.

In addition to his motivational engagements, Brig Cheema reviewed the renovation of the Cookhouse, which serves as the kitchen facility during training events at the NCC Training Academy. He stressed the importance of providing quality meals to support the cadets’ training and well-being.
