Model Code of Conduct Lifted in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir as Election Results Declared

Jammu :TDD, The Election Commission of India has officially lifted the Model Code of Conduct in Haryana and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir following the declaration of results for their respective Legislative Assembly elections. In a letter dated October 10, 2024, the Commission informed key government officials that the code, which had been in effect since the announcement of the election schedule, has now ceased to be operational with immediate effect.
The document, signed by Sr. Principal Secretary Narendra N. Butolia, instructs that this information be disseminated to all concerned parties. This lifting of the code marks the formal conclusion of the electoral process in these regions, allowing normal governmental activities to resume without the restrictions imposed during the election period.TDD
