AAP Extends Olive Branch to NC in J&K Political Landscape

Jammu :TDD,. In a significant political development in Jammu and Kashmir, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal has officially declared its support for the National Conference (NC) on Friday.

The party took a formal step by submitting a letter of support for Omar Abdullah’s government to the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

This move comes on the heels of AAP’s recent victory in the Doda constituency during the latest Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.

The AAP took a decisive step by submitting a formal letter of support for the Omar Abdullah-led NC government to the Lieutenant Governor’s office.
This move comes in the wake of AAP’s recent victory in the Doda constituency during the latest Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, signaling the party’s growing influence in the region.

Muddasir Hassan, AAP’s State Spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir, confirmed the party’s decision, stating, “Aam Aadmi Party will extend support to JKNC in Jammu and Kashmir. The letter of support has been submitted to the Lt Governor.”
This statement underscores the official nature of the alliance and hints at a collaborative approach to addressing the region’s challenges.

The AAP’s foray into J&K politics gained traction with their victory in the Doda constituency. Party candidate Mehraj Malik secured a noteworthy win, defeating Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Gajay Singh Rana by a margin of 4,538 votes. This victory, while localized, represents a significant breakthrough for AAP in the region.
This alliance between AAP and NC could have far-reaching implications for the political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. By aligning with the established NC, AAP might be looking to solidify its presence in the region while providing additional support to the NC-led government.TDD
