Handwara, DD, In its continued efforts to promote road safety and responsible driving habits, Handwara Police today conducted a Traffic Awareness Program at Taratpora, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of Higher Secondary School Taratpora.
The program commenced with an awareness session where students were sensitized about traffic rules, road discipline, and the importance of adhering to safety norms for the well-being of all road users.
As part of the initiative, a traffic checkpoint was established at Taratpora, where students, under the supervision of police officials, actively participated in traffic awareness drive during which drivers were counseled to drive with care and caution besides ensure compliance to the guidelines to prevent voilations.
This unique initiative not only helped in spreading awareness among the youth but also encouraged a sense of responsibility towards ensuring safe and disciplined road usage. The program received appreciation from the local community and created a strong impression about the importance of collective efforts in reducing road accidents.
