Leh:DD, The Sheep Husbandry Department, Leh, today flagged off a group of 40 livestock owners from various villages of Leh district for an inter-district exposure tour to Kargil District. The tour, organized under the National Livestock Mission (NLM) Scheme, will take the participants to Drass, Kargil, and Zanskar.
The delegation was flagged off by Dr. Iftikhar Hussain, Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, who was accompanied by Dr. Tsewang Morup, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Leh; Dr. Asif Hussain, Assistant Director, RMF Matho; Dr. Mohmed Abass, Livestock Development Officer, CBF Stakna; and other officials of the Sheep Husbandry Department, Leh.
The exposure tour aims to provide livestock owners with an opportunity to learn about improved rearing practices, breeding techniques, fodder management, and other innovative interventions being implemented in different regions of Kargil District. This initiative is expected to enhance the skills and knowledge of livestock owners, ultimately contributing to the development of the livestock sector in Leh district.DD
