J&K Govt Deploys Officers to Record Proceedings of 4th Legislative Assembly Session

Srinagar: DD, The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued orders deploying officers to note all points raised during the 4th Session of the J&K Legislative Assembly.

An Order No. 1372-JK(GAD) of 2025 issued stated, officers from various departments, including Industries & Commerce, Jal Shakti, School Education, PWD (R&B), Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Health & Medical Education, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Horticulture, and Agriculture Production, have been assigned specific dates to record proceedings.

The officers are required to submit 15 copies of the points raised to the Secretary, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, and five copies to the General Administration Department on the same day.
Additionally, extracts must be forwarded to the concerned departments for necessary action, and responses are to be sent promptly to the respective MLAs.

The order further directs that officers remain present even if the House extends to a second sitting on their assigned date. Administrative Secretaries have been instructed to ensure no leave is granted to the assigned officers without prior approval from the Chief Secretary. In case of unavoidable leave, a replacement officer must be deputed with intimation to the Legislative Assembly Secretary and GAD.

The government said the deployment aims to ensure proper documentation of discussions and facilitate timely action on issues raised in the House. (KNC)
