HANDWARA POLICE HOLDS PLEDGE TAKING CEREMONY TO MARK VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

Handwara, DD, In alignment with the nationwide observance of Vigilance Awareness Week—an initiative of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) aimed at promoting integrity and transparency in public administration—Handwara Police today organized a Pledge Taking Ceremony across all police establishments of Police District Handwara.

The main function was held at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Handwara, Shri Sahil Sarangal, IPS, who administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and officials. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from police officers, jawans, and staff members from different units of the district.

While addressing the Officers and officials, SSP Handwara Shri Sahil Sarangal, IPS, emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and professionalism in policing. He urged all officers and officials to reaffirm their individual and collective commitment to a corruption-free environment, transparency in administrative functioning, and fairness in all professional dealings.

The officers and jawans took a solemn oath to:

Uphold absolute integrity in performing their duties.

Refrain from offering or accepting any form of bribe.

Work with complete dedication to eliminate corruption.

Promote ethical conduct, accountability, and transparency within the force.

Foster a culture of honesty, trust, and good governance.

The ceremony reflected Handwara Police’s unwavering resolve to strengthen institutional integrity and contribute to the national mission of building a corruption-free society.

It is pertinent to mention that the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week serves as a reminder to every public servant to remain vigilant and uphold the values of fairness and justice in all circumstances. The Integrity Pledge is not merely a formality but a solemn commitment to ethical behavior and an affirmation of the organization’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among all officers and officials to serve the public with honesty, transparency, and dedication, thereby upholding the true spirit of responsible policing.DD
