Srinagar: DD, In view of the upcoming winter season 2025-26, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered that key offices under the Home Department will function simultaneously from both Srinagar and Jammu.
As per Government Order No. 522-Home of 2025 as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the arrangement includes Police Headquarters, Prisons Headquarters, Directorate of Prosecution, Police Housing Corporation, Homeguards, Civil Defence & SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services, Forensic Science Laboratory, Sainik Welfare, and Defence Labour Procurement offices.
The Heads of Departments have been directed to ensure equitable availability of officers and staff at both locations to maintain seamless functioning during the winter months, it states. (KNC)
