Kishtwar, DD, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar (JKAS), today conducted a comprehensive review of the public grievance redressal mechanisms functioning under JK Samadhan 2.0 and the CPGRAMS portal.
The review focused on assessing the efficiency, quality, and responsiveness of various government departments in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner carried out a detailed evaluation of all pending grievances and emphasized the need for quality-driven and time-bound disposal to ensure maximum citizen satisfaction.
The DC reiterated that the success of any grievance redressal system lies not merely in the registration of complaints but in their timely and satisfactory resolution.
He stressed that prompt and effective grievance redressal is vital for strengthening public trust in governance, fostering citizen engagement, and promoting transparency and accountability in administration.
The DC directed all departmental heads to conduct regular reviews of grievance cases to ensure that no issue remains unresolved unnecessarily and that accountability is fixed in cases of undue delay.
It is pertinent to mention that out of a total of 906 grievances received under the JK Samadhan 2.0 portal, only 45 remain pending as of date. Similarly, under the CPGRAMS portal, only 7 grievances are pending out of a total of 104 received in the district. The quality disposal of these pending grievances is also in progress at various departmental levels.
