Jammu:DD, In a significant breakthrough, Jammu (Rural) Police have arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the
past 11 years.
The accused, identified as Gulzar Ahmed, son of Chatta, caste Gujjar, resident of Dabber Nowshera, District Rajouri, was wanted in connection with a criminal case registered under FIR No. 171/2014 under Sections 279/337 RPC at Police Station Nagrota.
A warrant under Section 512 Cr.P.C had been issued against the accused by the Court of Munsiff JMIC Jammu, as he had been absconding since 2014.
Acting on sustained efforts and specific information, Nagrota Police, led by SHO Police Station Nagrota, successfully traced and arrested the absconder, ensuring his production before the Court for further legal proceedings.
The Jammu (Rural) Police continues its dedicated drive against absconders and proclaimed offenders to ensure that justice is upheld and lawbreakers are brought to account.DD
