DDOs Directed to Expedite Rooftop Solar Installations

Kishtwar: DD, A review meeting on the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was held in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, Kishtwar.
The meeting was held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), and it was chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal (JKAS), was attended by all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of the district.
During the meeting, the Executive Engineer, JPDCL Kishtwar elaborated on the key features, benefits, and procedural aspects of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He also addressed various queries raised by the DDOs regarding the scheme’s implementation process and subsidy mechanisms.
The ADC directed all DDOs to convene regular meetings with their subordinate employees and motivate them to get Solar Rooftop (SRT) systems installed within this month to ensure timely achievement of the district’s assigned targets.
Further, JPDCL Kishtwar was directed to prepare a roster and hold separate meetings with each DDO in the DC Office to provide handholding support and resolve any pending issues related to registration and installation under the scheme.
The meeting emphasized the collective responsibility of all departments in ensuring the successful rollout of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, aimed at promoting clean energy adoption and reducing dependency on conventional power sources in the district.
