SSP Kishtwar Reviews Crime Scenario

Kishtwar: DD, A comprehensive crime and security review meeting was convened today at the District Police Office (DPO) Kishtwar, under the chairmanship of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Naresh Singh The session is part of an ongoing series of strategic reviews aimed at assessing the implementation of prior directives, evaluating the prevailing security scenario, and ensuring preparedness for forthcoming events throughout the district.

During the meeting, critical issues concerning law enforcement and public safety were discussed, with a particular emphasis on the following areas:

Compliance with Previous Instructions: The SSP conducted a thorough follow-up on the actions taken in response to directives issued during the last crime review meeting across all three sub-divisions, emphasizing accountability at every level.
Review of Recent Crime Trends and Investigations:Detailed discussions were held on recent cases, pending investigations, and case disposal rates to reinforce the commitment toward timely and transparent justice delivery.

Strengthening Beat System and Surveillance: Officers were instructed to enhance beat patrolling, keep beat books regularly updated, and generate real-time field inputs to proactively address emerging issues.

Intensification of Anti-Drug & Anti-Bovine Smuggling Drives: The SSP reviewed ongoing enforcement actions and issued clear directives to escalate efforts against individuals involved in narcotic offenses and illegal transportation of cattle to maintain the rule of law.

Counter – Terrorism Measures: Emphasis was placed on sustained vigilance, robust inter-agency coordination, and visible area domination, with particular focus on proactive patrolling and CASO (Cordon and Search Operations) in sensitive sectors such as Chatroo and Marwah.

Addressing the officers, SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh highlighted the critical role of field presence, community engagement, and strict adherence to law-and-order protocols in upholding peace across the district.
He urged all personnel to maintain heightened alertness in sensitive pockets, develop actionable intelligence, and take all necessary steps to pre-empt and neutralize threats from anti-national elements.

The meeting was attended by Dy.SP Headquarters Dr. Ishan Gupta , SHOs, Incharge Police Posts, Investigating Officers,and other senior officials.DD
