Poonch( Mendhar),DD, The Mendhar Festival 2025, the flagship sports and cultural initiative of the Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana, continued its momentum today as the Boys’ Volleyball Championship began at the Govt. Degree College, Mendhar. Organised by Mendhar Battalion under the aegis of Bhimber Gali Brigade, the championship marks the second major event of the Mendhar Sports Festival 2025, which was launched on 24 November with a thrilling Kabaddi showdown.
Teams displayed skill and sportsmanship
delivering a series of high‑energy matches that showcased the depth of volleyball talent emerging from the area. Spectators filled the stands, cheering for every points, while the participants displayed exemplary skill, agility and sportsmanship.
The event aligns with the broader objectives of the Mendhar Festival, to provide a constructive platform for youth engagement, identify and nurture sporting talent. The festival reinforces the Army’s commitment to nation‑building through community partnership.
