Srinagar,TDD, Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday expressed his concern over the reports, which suggest that at least 35 Kashmiri students at Mewar University in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, have been suspended after they staged protests against the university over an unapproved nursing course. The students say the university has not obtained the necessary approvals from the Rajasthan Nursing Council (RNC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC) for its BSc Nursing course, putting their academic futures at risk.

In his statement, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari urged the J&K administration to engage with the Rajasthan University authorities to resolve the issue as soon as possible, allowing the students and their parents to have a sigh of relief.

He said, “The J&K administration must take up the issue with Mewar University in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, to ensure that the concerns of the protesting Kashmiri students are properly addressed. The students allege that the university has not obtained the necessary approvals from the Rajasthan Nursing Council (RNC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC) for its BSc Nursing course, putting their academic futures at risk. In response to the protests, the university has suspended at least 35 Kashmiri students. Their parents back home are very worried. The administration must act quickly to resolve this issue so that the students and their parents can breathe a sigh of relief.”
