UDHAMPUR :TDD, Former Jammu & Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister, Former Speaker in J&K Assembly and Senior BJP Leader Kavinder Gupta has strongly welcomed the ICC’s decision to cancel the Championship trophy tour in three PoK cities. Gupta praised the move as a bold decision that has garnered support from all Indian residents, extending special congratulations to ICC Chairperson Jay Shah.
Gupta noted that while Pakistan will continue such activities, it is unfortunate that some people within India speak their language. He emphasized that such incidents will continue until these voices are silenced.
Gupta mentioned the seminar on “Separate State for Kashmir” at Oxford University, highlighting how Indians had strongly countered this narrative. He further emphasized that the high voter participation in Jammu and Kashmir elections following the abrogation of Article 370 serves as a strong rebuke to Pakistan, reflecting their growing frustration.
Gupta concluded by pointing out that Pakistan engages in such provocative actions to divert their citizens’ attention from the country’s deteriorating economic situation. He suggested that these activities are merely a means to distract their own population from internal issues.TDD
