The minister shared his impressions on social media, emphasizing the bridge’s unique status as the first cable-stayed bridge in the Indian Railways network.
During his visit, Singh met with the project’s workforce, praising their dedication and precision. He expressed optimism about launching train services to Kashmir by January 2025, describing the rail connectivity as a “big gift” to the region. The minister highlighted the project’s strategic importance, noting it would provide critical transportation infrastructure, particularly during challenging weather conditions when national highways become inaccessible.

Singh credited the NDA government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving the project’s momentum, pointing out substantial progress made in the last eight years after previous delays.
