Udhampur :TDD-Area Marketing Office Udhampur, Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing held one day awareness camp/ seminar on “Strengthening Agriculture Marketing” for farmers, SHG members and FPOs at Bal Nagar Jib of block Udhampur. Pawan Gupta MLA Udhampur west was chief guest on the occasion. Apart from a large number of farmers and SHG members, Anuj Verma Area Marketing Officer Udhampur, Dr Munish Sharma Senior Scientist SKUAST-J, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Ajay Sharma, Sanjeev Gupta AEO, Puneet Sharma Manager J&K Bank Zonal office Udhampur, Shashi Paul Sharma Chairman Kembal Danga Padamoo FPO, Raju Zutshi AGMO Ramban, Kamal Kishor AGMO Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar HDO Udhampur, Vijay Attri MI were present on the occasion. Anuj Verma AMO Udhampur and other speakers from different departments briefed the audience about a number of government schemes including PMFME, HADP, E-NAM, Support for Grading & Packaging, Pre & Post Harvest Technologies.
Pawan Gupta MLA informed the gathering that the Centeral and the UT governments have announced a number of schemes for farmers, unemployed youth and SHG females with subsidy up to ninty percent. He asked farmers and SHG members to take benefits of Government schemes in toto and embark on the path of Prime Minister Sankalp of viksit Bharat. Farmers were asked to adopt the latest technologies as well as techniques like crop diversification, Market diversification, grading & packaging, storage & processing so as to get good returns of their produce.TDD
