Srinagar, Sep 12: The North Kashmir Member Parliament Er Sheikh Abdur Rashid today laned at Srinagar International airport after walking free from Tihar jail on a bail, bowed down on main road and stated that his fight was much bigger than Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti.

Delhi Patlia House Court on Tuesday granted an interim bail to Er Rashid till October 2 and also allowed him to carry out campaigning in J&K for upcoming polls. This was the first time Er Rashid landed in Srinagar after a gap of five years. He was lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar for five years in connecting with terror funding case.

The first reaction of Er Rashid after coming out of the airport was that he right way bowed down on the main road and also broke down in tears. With tears in his eyes, Er Rashid while talking to reporters said that he wants Delhi to consider people of Kashmir as humans. “Graveyards are filled with over five lakh people. I don’t want a silence of graveyard here. I want permanent peace in Kashmir,” he said.

About allegations being levelled against him by Omar Abdullah and Mehbooa Mufti, Er Rashid said that his fight was much bigger than Omar and Mehbooa. “I am fighting for the self-respect and dignity. I was not happy over Omar’s loss from North Kashmir’s Lok Sabha seat. I was happy to see people puncturing Prime Minister Narendera Modi’s fake balloon of Naya Kashmir,” he said.

Er Rashid headed towards Delina, Baramulla in north Kashmir where he will be addressing a big rally at 11:30 am
