Heroin seized,one arrested by Miran Sahib Police

Jammu :TDD,In the ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking under operation Sanjeevani, the Miran Sahib Police achieved success by apprehending a drug peddler and recovering 3 grams of heroin-like substance (chitta) from his possession.

During routine patrolling near Bagh-e-Bhour Park, Indira Nagar, the alert police team noticed a suspicious pedestrian attempting to evade checking. The police acted swiftly and detained the individual, who was later identified as Mohd. Shafi, R/o Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib.Upon conducting a personal search, 3 grams of heroin-like substance were recovered from his possession.

Following this, an FIR under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (FIR No. 118/2024) was registered, and further investigation is underway to uncover possible links to larger drug networks.

The Jammu Police remains committed to combating the menace of drug abuse and trafficking. Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station and join hands in eradicating this social evil.TDD
