Jammu :TDD, ABVP Unit PSPS GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, organized an interactive session on the occasion of the 68th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Ji. The event aimed to honor the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar and shed light on his contributions to the Indian Constitution and social justice.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with more than 40 students in attendance. The program was graced by Dr. Pooja Charak, Head of the Department of Political Science, and featured an enlightening keynote address by Professor Raj Kumar, the esteemed resource person. His speech delved into Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for an egalitarian society, inspiring the audience to reflect on his invaluable contributions to nation-building.
The event was meticulously organized and anchored by Shreya Dalia, President of the ABVP GCW Unit, with the support of her dynamic organizing team comprising Vice President Neekita Bassan, Sonika Sen, Janvi Sharma, Harsimer Kour, Garima Dalia, and others. Their dedication ensured the seamless execution of the session.
Speaking on the occasion, Shreya Dalia highlighted the importance of observing Mahaparinirvan Diwas as a reminder of Dr. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy. She said, “Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings on equality, justice, and democracy continue to inspire generations. It is our responsibility to uphold and spread his vision for a united and progressive society.”The program concluded with an interactive discussion, where students and faculty shared their insights and reflections, making the event an enriching experience for all.
