Traffic Police National highway strict action against MV act Violators

Ramban :TDD, Continuing with Special Drives against Motor Vehicle Act violations, Traffic Police National Highway under the supervision of SSP National Highway , Rohit Baskotra- JKPS have booked 10328 Traffic rule violators and imposed heavy fine amount of Rs. 11640600.00 for breaching Traffic rules during the month of November, 2024.
Beside this, during the month 11/2024, 84 Vehicles have been seized and 05 cases have been recommended for cancellation of D. Ls, R. Ps and R. Cs of vehicles, who indulged in repeated traffic violations.
To aware general public regarding following of Traffic rules, Traffic Police NHW Ramban conducted 13 Traffic Awareness Programs at different location of 05 Districts and on 03 NHs falling in Traffic NHW Ramban. Special awareness camps were held for drivers, students , parents and commuters. Special Drives were also held involving volunteers of NSS and NCC. Truck drivers were specially briefed regarding their conduct While driving and avoid use of mobile phone and not to indulge in drink and drive. Public Transport vehicle drivers were directed to display fare list and remove all unauthorized alteration in their vehicles and the same time No music system , stickers in Public Transport vehicles with proper doors for entry and exit.
While sharing the detail SSP Traffic, Rohit Baskotra conveyed that a stringent action against MV Act Violators is being undertaken and Traffic Police NHW will continue its drives against traffic rule violators. The mission of Traffic Police NHW is to reduce in road accidents to save precious human life and instill discipline among the road users.
The special focus of challaning has remained in overloading, under age driving, School Vehicles (Private/Commercial), dangerous driving, Driving under influences of alcohol and other visible offences.
He appealed commuters to follow Traffic rules and join hands to make our roads safe for all type of users right from pedestrian to vehicle owners.
