Jammu :TDD- The Tiger Vayu Rakshak (TIVPA) attack system is a cutting-edge Manned-Unmanned Team (MUMT) technology, integrating a Hunter-Killer drone duo designed for modern battlefield efficiency. This advanced system pairs a Hunter drone that conducts reconnaissance and streams live footage to the operator, with a killer drone that autonomously engages detected targets. Once the Hunter drone identifies a potential target, the operator sends its coordinates to the killer drone, which then autonomously engages the targets using a 1 kg payload.
The drones technical parameters make them suitable for short to mid-range tactical operations. Enhanced by an overlay of artificial intelligence (AI), the system can autonomously detect objects, stream real-time data, and assist the operator in decision-making, ensuring precision during strikes.
Successfully trialed, TIVRA has demonstrated its potential as a cost-effective, advanced solution for tactical drone operations, capable of conducting both manual and autonomous missions. Future plans for the system include expansion into a swarm-based model, significantly enhancing battlefield efficiency and enabling coordinated, scalable operations. With its blend of human oversight and autonomous precision, TIVRA promises to redefine the future of unmanned aerial systems in military combat.
TIVRA was demonstrated during “Innov Yodha” conducted at Delhi and appreciated by COAS also.
The innovation shows the effort made by Indian Army in inducting and incorporating new cutting edge technologies in war fighting.TDD
