Srinagar, (TDD): A bag containing explosives was detected and successfully neutralized this morning in the Langate area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, averting a potential disaster.
According to officials, a joint team of the Police and the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles discovered the suspicious bag along the Baramulla-Handwara road. Acting swiftly, a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was deployed to the site, and traffic was temporarily halted to safeguard public movement.
The bomb squad efficiently defused the explosives, allowing normal traffic flow to resume shortly after. Security forces have heightened vigilance in the area to ensure public safety and prevent any further incidents.(TDD)
