Two alleged bovine smugglers killed, one injured in Samba road mishap

SAMBA,TDD: Two alleged bovine smugglers were killed, and one person injured when a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge near Mansar Morh – Nud area of Samba District, last night.
As per the police, they had established a naka for checking of vehicles at Nud Naka – Mansar Morh. During routine checking, a vehicle was intercepted for checking, but it did not stop. However, the speedy vehicle allegedly hit a cop, wounding him.
In a bid to break the naka, the vehicle allegedly carrying bovines sped up, and over half a kms away from police naka, the driver of the vehicle lost control, and it skidded off the road, leading to the killing of two alleged bovine smugglers, and another sustained injury.
The deceased people were identified as Mohammed Adrasi (16), son of Mohammed Musa, resident of Maralian, Miran Sahib Jammu, and Yaqoob Ali (18), son of Teg Ali, resident of Chal Drab Khan, Kathua district. The bodies of both the deceased persons were sent to the mortuary room of District Hospital Samba.
Meanwhile, the injured has been identified as Mohammed Mushtaq (19), son of Guddo, resident of Maralian, Miran Sahib, Jammu. The injured has been referred to Govt Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.TDD
