Srinagar, (TDD): In a bid to combat terror financing, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched a series of coordinated raids across multiple districts in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as other parts of the country, officials said today.
They said that the operation, linked to an ongoing terror funding investigation, targeted several locations in Baramulla, Reasi, Budgam and Anantnag districts of Jammu and Kashmir. In total, 19 locations across four states, including the Union Territory, were searched, highlighting the extensive scope of the probe.
“The raids are ongoing, and further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses,” an official stated. The operation is seen as a critical step in dismantling financial networks that support terrorism in the Kashmir.
This sweeping crackdown forms part of the NIA’s broader strategy to plug funding channels used to sustain militancy. Authorities believe the raids will uncover crucial evidence, shedding light on key players and networks involved in terror financing.
The action underscores NIA’s commitment to tackling terrorism at its roots, targeting not just militant operations but also the infrastructure and financial ecosystems that enable them. (TDD)
