Rajouri,TDD,A devastating wave of suspected food poisoning has gripped Rajouri, leaving five people dead, including four children, in two tragic incidents reported within a week.
The latest case claimed the life of another child, while two individuals remain under treatment as medical teams race to contain the situation.
The community is in shock and locals are struggling to cope with the immense loss. “We never imagined something like this could happen again so soon,” said Ghulam Muhammad, a resident of the affected area. “It’s heartbreaking to lose so many children in such a short span of time. We are in mourning and the whole village is grieving.”
This second tragedy in the same area has sparked fear and raised urgent questions about food safety and hygiene practices in the region. Health officials and local authorities are working together to raise awareness and emphasize the importance of proper food storage, preparation, and consumption practices. “It’s essential that families ensure food is properly cooked and stored,” Dr. Ahmad added. “We are also working on educating the community about food hygiene to prevent any future tragedies.”
