New Delhi: TDD,Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to lead a high-level security meeting in the national capital on December 19. Official sources have confirmed that the meeting will address crucial security matters, particularly those related to Jammu and Kashmir.
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, will participate in the discussions to evaluate strategies aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the Union Territory. Other notable attendees will include National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, senior army officials, Directors General of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and key officials from Jammu and Kashmir, such as the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police.
This meeting follows nearly five months after Amit Shah last chaired a similar security review in June. The agenda will revisit strategies like the “area domination plan” and “zero terror plan,” which have been effectively implemented in the Kashmir valley.
The meeting is of great significance as the Central Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remains dedicated to combating terrorism through innovative methods. Shah has consistently stressed a “zero-tolerance policy” towards terrorism and has called for seamless coordination among security agencies to effectively identify and address vulnerabilities.TDD
