Indian Army Conducts Ex Servicemen Rally at Kalakote, Rajouri

Rajouri, TDD,With the aim to connect with Ex Servicemen, an interaction was conducted at Kalakote Rajouri, as welfare activities by Indian Army to address grievances, healthcare support, pension related issues and well-being of Veer Naris, Veterans and their families. The basic objective behind the meeting was to honour and resolve the problems of Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen. During the interaction, the invitees were acquainted with various initiatives undertaken by The Indian Army for the welfare of Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen in the nearby areas. The gathering was made aware of latest Government policies, pre-recruitment rallies and other welfare related measures planned in upcoming months. During the event, Veer Naris were felicitated by Indian Army. Ex-Serviceman pledged that they will motivate youth of their area to join Armed forces to be part of mainstream and keep them away from all illegal activities. A free Medical Camp was also organized to help Ex-servicemen in leading a normal and healthy life, which is otherwise challenging considering the terrain and weather conditions. Requisite consultation, vaccination and medicines were provided to help the invitees avail medical treatment benefits. Additionally a lecture was also organized during this interaction to emphasize on importance of good eating habits, balanced diet plan and maintaining personal hygiene and sanitation to increase happiness quotient amongst the gathering. The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue and constructive discussions on various issues and the way forward for creating a congenial environment between The Indian Army and Awam. The event also served to strengthen the bond between The Indian Army and the Veer Naris and Veterans of this region. It showcased The Indian Army’s commitment towards the Veer Naris and Veterans for their yeomen service to the nation.
