Kishtwar, (TDD): In Kishtwar’s Kuntwara area, members of the Village Defence Group (VDG) fired multiple rounds after spotting suspected terrorist movement in the area.

This incident has drawn significant attention, as it occurred in the same location where two VDG members were tragically killed by terrorists on November 7. The VDG, a crucial part of local defense and security, has become a frequent target of militants in the region in recent months.

Senior Jammu and Kashmir Police officials are currently en route to the incident site to assess the situation. A police official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, stated, “We are aware of the situation in Kuntwara and are closely monitoring the developments. Teams are being deployed to assess the situation and ensure the safety of local residents. Our primary focus remains on preventing any further escalation of violence and apprehending those responsible.”(TDD)
