Kishtwar, TDD,A seven-day Training-Cum-Refresher Course for Physical Education Masters (PEMs), Physical Education Teachers (PETs), Rehbar-e-Khel (REKs), and Groundsmen (GMs) was concluded today organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Chowgan Ground and TRC, District Kishtwar, from December 18 to December 24, 2024.
The course was held under the direction of the Director General of Youth Services and Sports, J&K, Sh. Rajinder Singh Tara, and the guidance of the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), Kishtwar, Sh. Jaffer Haider Sheikh.
The refresher course aims to enhance the professional skills, knowledge, and performance of physical education staff in promoting physical education and youth activities across the district.
The program includes a combination of theoretical sessions, practical demonstrations, and interactive workshops designed to strengthen participants’ expertise in physical education, sports techniques, and field management.
The event has witnessed enthusiastic participation from PEMs, PETs, REKs, and GMs across the district, reflecting the department’s commitment to fostering excellence and innovation in youth services and sports.
The program is expected to equip field staff with practical tools and strategies to strengthen their roles and contribute to the overall development of youth in Kishtwar.
The refresher course will continue to cover key areas such as modern teaching methodologies, injury management, sports event organization, and psychological counseling for athletes, ensuring comprehensive professional development for all participants.TDD
