Kishtwar:TDD,In a continued crackdown on anti-national elements, District Administration Kishtwar has booked Jaffer Hussain Butt, son of Mohd Ashraf Butt, resident of Hunjala, Tehsil and District Kishtwar, under the Public Safety Act (PSA). He has been lodged in District Jail Kathua.
District Administration Kishtwar, reiterated the commitment to eradicate anti-national and anti-social elements from the district. Jaffer Hussain Butt has a history of involvement in anti-national activities and was actively working as an Over Ground Worker (OGW), aiding and abetting banned organizations in their unlawful activities.
His actions posed a grave threat to the peace and security of the region.
To protect the youth of Kishtwar from being influenced by such elements and to maintain law and order in the district, the decision to detain him under PSA was taken after due process.
District Administration Kishtwar is resolute in its approach towards dealing with anti-national activities. Any individual found disrupting peace or luring the youth towards such destructive paths will face strict legal action. We urge all anti-national elements to shun their activities and join the mainstream, or they will be dealt with firmly.”
The public is encouraged to cooperate with the Administration(civil/police) in maintaining peace and harmony in the district.TDD
