Jammu:TDD,Today at about 1430hrs , newly joined SHO Janipur Insp Vikram Sharma invited respectable of the locality to Police station under a new initiative started by SDPO City West “CHAI WITH COP” for interaction and better coordination for free flow of information regarding any cognisable activity taking place in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Janipur.
A Police Community Partnership Group meetings are held regularly by concerned SHOs and senior officer for face to face interaction with law abiding citizens for the better service delivery.
In the meeting various participants viz. Mr.Ganesh Dutt Sharma, Ashok Babbar Vice president, Raman Bakshi Chairman, Ramesh Chander Bali President Janipur Market Association, Vikshyat Vaid Secretary, Vishal Verma, Gurnam Singh NC Block President and others were present in the meeting.
The participants while speaking highlighted various issues like street lightening of areas which are hotspot for drugs and alcoholics, traffic jamming during evening hours, better coordination among police and public to fight menace of drugs etc to be addressed on priority.
SHO Janipur while extending vote of thanks also briefed participants to remain alert about the security of the area to fail the nefarious designs of Anti-nation elements and frequent reporting of crime well in time keeping in mind the approaching of Republic Day celebrations and present security scenario.
They were also requested to remain in contact with Police station regarding any kind of grievances and mis-happenings.
Public which is law abiding and follow discipline are the eyes and ears of police as law enforcement agency. Their participation is community policing is highly appreciable and need of hour.TDD
