Udhampur :TDD, Police team from Police Station Rehambal led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking at Rehamval naka point, NHW recovered 6.1 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from a vehicle (Bolero Car) bearing Registeration No. JK14E-1182 which was on its way from Jammu towards Udhampur, two narco smugglers (including driver of the vehicle) have been arrested on spot.
The arrested persons have been identified as Nikhil Sharma @ NipunS/O Mohinder Kumar R/O Jakhani, Udhampur and Charanjeet Singh @ Monu S/O Kuldeep Singh R/O Sangoor, Udhampur
In this connection, a case FIR No. 04/2024 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Rehambal and the investigation is going on.
Earlier, Police team of PP Tikri while performing routine vehicle checking duty at Bansa morh naka point apprehended one person namely Rajrupinder Singh S/O Harbajan Singh R/O Jib Enclave Garhi Cantt, Udhampur for checking purpose who was coming from katra side towards tikri side on foot.
Upon frisking, 7.38 grams of heroin (chitta) like Contraband substance was recovered from his possession who has been arrested on spot.On this, a case vide FIR No. 03/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.TDD
