CFL organises Financial Awareness Program Camp

Ramban, TDD,A Financial Awareness Program Camp was successfully held today at Haila Dharam (Block Gundi Dharam) by the Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) in collaboration with SBI RSETI Ramban.

The program, which saw the active participation of 50 individuals, was aimed at spreading awareness about critical financial inclusion schemes introduced by the Government of India.

Director Harvinder Singh from SBI RSETI Ramban led the event and emphasized the importance of financial literacy in achieving economic self-reliance.

During the session, participants were introduced by various flagship schemes included Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY): Ensuring universal access to banking services for all households, including zero-balance savings accounts, overdraft facilities, and financial empowerment, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY): An accident insurance scheme providing coverage at a minimal premium, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY): Life insurance coverage that ensures financial security for families in case of untimely demise, Atal Pension Yojana (APY): A pension scheme designed to provide financial stability during retirement.

Harvinder Singh, while addressing the participants, highlighted the significance of these schemes in ensuring financial security for individuals and their families.

He explained how these initiatives could help rural communities in mitigating financial risks and building a secure future.

Interactive sessions were conducted where participants were guided through the enrollment process, eligibility criteria, and the benefits of these schemes.

CFL representatives provided on-the-spot assistance to help attendees register for the programs.

In his speech, Harvinder Singh said:
“Financial awareness is the first step towards financial empowerment. Programs like this enable individuals to access government initiatives that ensure a safer and more secure future.”

The participants expressed their gratitude for the insightful session and showed enthusiasm to enroll in the schemes while pledging to share the knowledge within their communities.

This initiative by CFL and SBI RSETI Ramban reflects their unwavering commitment to financial inclusion, rural development, and empowering individuals with the knowledge to secure their financial well-being.TDD
