BJP should not take Jammuties “to be guaranteed” : Sahni

Jammu: DD,Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit has strongly welcomed development works like Z-Mod tunnel on Srinagar-Leh national highway and Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail service in Kashmir and has demanded to focus on the development of tourist places of Jammu division and appealed to the PM to give the gift of Narinder Modi to restore the state status to J&K during his Kashmir visit.
In a press conference held today at the party’s state central office, state chief Manish Sahni said that the arrival of railways to Kashmir and development works like Z-Mod tunnel are sure to give wings to the tourism business and economy of Kashmir and are welcome steps. But appropriate steps should also be taken to develop tourist places of Jammu division along with Kashmir and speed up the economy. He said that the step-motherly treatment with the Jammu division cannot be tolerated anymore.
Sahni reminded the BJP that by making discrimination with Jammu the main issue, the BJP won the trust of the people of Jammu division in the 2014, 2019, 2024 Lok Sabha and 2014, 2024 assembly elections. But like the previous governments, the BJP central government is also ignoring Jammu and focusing on Kashmir.

In Jammu district, Suchetgarh, Jhajjar Kotli, Bani, Basohli, Mata Bala Sundari of Kathua and Panchari, Basantgarh, Suddhmahadev, Mantalai in Udhampur, Baba Chamliyal of Samba, Baglihar, Chandrakot, Natha Top, Gool in Ramban, along tourist places of
other districts of Jammu division and Religious places like Paramandal, Sakurala Mata, Jhiri, Kaul Kandoli, Deva Mai Shivkhodi etc. should be developed and equipped with facilities.
Sahni warned the BJP not to take Jammu ‘to be guaranteed’.
Sahni has also demanded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give the gift of restoration of state status to Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. In this occasion Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Sr Vice president Sanjeev Kohli were present.DD
