Jammu,DD, In a heartfelt tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Jammu and Kashmir Police Martyrs and all other martyrs of the nation, Jammu Police, South Zone today organised a grand Tiranga Rally on motorbikes. The event was aimed at honouring the valour and dedication of those who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The rally was flagged off this morning by SSP Jammu from District Police Lines, Jammu and led by SP South along with SDPOs, SHOs, ICPPs and officers/officials of South Zone. The spirited convoy of motorbikes moved from DPL Jammu to Asia Chowk, proceeding further towards Raipur Satwari, Surya Chak, Phallian Mandal and reaching village Makwal Camp, the last inhabited village near the International Border.
At this border village, a solemn tribute was paid to the local residents who stood their ground with remarkable courage during Operation Sindoor, standing shoulder to shoulder with the forces in the face of adversity. Their resilience remains an enduring symbol of community strength and patriotism. On this occasion, public interaction was also held by SP South and officers with the villagers to strengthen police-public cooperation, and a plantation drive was carried out, symbolising commitment to a greener and more sustainable future
Following the tribute ceremony, the rally continued its journey via Ring Road to Miran Sahib, Gadigarh, Airport Road, Satwari Chowk and culminated at Police Station Gandhi Nagar. The tricolour fluttered proudly throughout the route, drawing enthusiastic cheers and participation from the public, further strengthening the spirit of unity and nationalism.
General public lauded the efforts of South Zone Police for organising the rally and emphasised the importance of remembering and honouring the sacrifices made by martyrs, which serve as the foundation of our nation’s peace and security.DD
