Absconder Arrested After 30 years by police in Jhajjar Kotli

Jammu,DD: Police today claimed to have arrested an absconder in the Jhajjar Kotli area who had been evading arrest for the past 30 years.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Hameed, resident of village Khadwani Harpora, Anantnag.
He was wanted in a criminal case registered under FIR No. 34/1996 U/S 376/363/366 RPC at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.

A warrant under Section 512 of the CrPC had been issued against him.
Acting on a specific tip-off, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, led by Station House Officer Inspector Vikas Dogra, apprehended the accused.
He will be produced before the Court today.DD
