Doda :TDD, Doda Police has arrested an absconder who was evading arrest since last 04 years.
While giving details Doda Police said that accused Satish Kumar S/O Hoshiyar Singh R/o Dharan , Sarsi Tehsil & District Doda was involved in case bearing FIR NO 31/2020 U/sec 452/376/511 IPC which was registered against him in Women Police station Doda. After completion of investigation of the case, challan was produced in the court of law. The accused person was declared as absconder and warrant of arrest u/s 299 Crpc was issued against him by the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Doda.
On the directions of SSP Doda Sandeep Kumar Mehta-JKPS, a police team was constituted from Women Police Station Doda led by Inspector Farooq Katoch SHO Women Police Station Doda and the team during search utilized human and technical services and ultimately after hectic efforts the team arrested the absconder from District Kathua and produced him before the court of law.
Mentionable here that on the directions of SSP Doda, special drive has been launched by Doda Police and special teams have been constituted at PS level for the arrest of absconders/wanted criminals and 22 absconders have been arrested so far during the current year.TDD
