ACD Kishtwar Conducts First-Ever Virtual Review Meeting of CD Block Marwah

Kishtwar, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Sh. Manoj Kumar (JKAS), today conducted a comprehensive review meeting of CD Block Marwah through virtual mode, marking the first such interaction since independence, as the block had earlier poor mobile and internet connectivity.
At the outset, the ACD congratulated all officer/ officials of Block Marwah for the long-awaited restoration of 4G mobile internet services in the area. He appreciated their efforts in ensuring administrative functioning under challenging conditions and called upon them to utilize the new connectivity for better service delivery.
During the review, the ACD laid special emphasis on the establishment and regular functioning of office from the Block Headquarters (BHQ). He directed the Block Development Officer (BDO) Marwah to ensure daily presence at the BHQ and remain accessible to the general public for grievance redressal. He made it clear that no excuse regarding non-functioning of offices will be entertained henceforth.
The ACD also conducted a detailed review of MGNREGS implementation, focusing on timely generation of PDs and payment of wages to job card holders. He categorically directed that no delay in wage disbursement shall be accepted and instructed concerned officers to ensure proper geotagging of assets and adherence to transparency measures.
Under the PMAY-G scheme, the ACD directed for expeditious completion of all houses under execution and called for strict action against defaulters as per norms.
Similarly, under UT/District Capex budgets, he instructed the officials to ensure that all developmental works are completed within stipulated timelines while maintaining quality standards. He further directed that contractors failing to execute allotted works should be blacklisted as per government guidelines.
Reiterating the importance of work ethics, ACD Kishtwar directed all employees to remain punctual and committed towards their duties, cautioning that any laxity or non-serious attitude shall not be tolerated.
The meeting was attended physically by BDO Marwah, while Panchayat Secretaries, Panchayat Accounts Assistants (PAAs), Gram Rozgar Sevaks (GRSs), MIS/CIC Operators participated virtually from their respective locations.DD
