Kishtwar, DD: Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Sh. Phulail Singh, JKAS, conducted a comprehensive inspection of development works under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) at Block Padder today.
During the inspection, ACD Kishtwar emphasized the need for high-quality asset creation and directed officials to install Community Information Boards (CIBs) at all work sites to enhance transparency. He also urged officials to prioritize sustainable and eco-friendly development practices.
Following the inspection, ACD Kishtwar held a review meeting with the staff of the Block Development Office (BDO) Padder. He instructed officials to bridge performance gaps and meet project deadlines, warning of strict action against negligence. Three employees were issued show-cause notices for being absent from their duties.
Sh. Phulail Singh, JKAS, issued directives to ensure timely completion of MGNREGA projects, prompt wage payments, and completion of the AwasPlus survey for eligible households before the March 31 deadline. Additionally, he stressed the need to complete all Phase 1 PMAY houses within the stipulated timeframe.
Emphasizing social responsibility, ACD Kishtwar highlighted the importance of sanitation, carbon neutrality, and efforts to create a drug-free society. He was accompanied by Sumit Singh, JKAS, BDO Padder, along with field functionaries from the block and IWMP Kishtwar.DD
